Speak Out Your Righteousness

But the righteousness of faith speaks…
Romans 10:6

Let me share something powerful with you about righteousness. In Romans 10:6, God’s Word tells us that the “righteousness of faith speaks”.
Now, what does this mean? It means that God encourages us to not just believe in our hearts that we are righteous, but to also SPEAK it out!
So righteous one, declare your righteousness. Every day, boldly say, “Father, I thank You that I am righteous in Christ, not because of what I have done, but because of what Christ has done. It’s a gift and I receive it with all my heart.”
I believe that when you speak and declare your righteousness, good things happen. You become conscious of all the blessings and all the promises that are due the righteous. Instead of disqualifying yourself, you’ll start to believe God for good success, favor and wisdom. Experiencing provision becomes effortless because you know your right standing in Christ. So stop disqualifying yourself and confess your righteousness instead!

The Love Of Our Lord Jesus

And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.”
John 8:11
Freedom From Destructive Habits

I’ve received so many testimonies from people who have been set free from destructive habits. These are sincere and precious people who desired to experience breakthroughs but did not know how to. However, once they learned about righteousness that comes from Christ apart from their works, they began to confess that they were still the righteousness of God every time they felt tempted. And bit by bit, the more they started to believe that they were righteous in Christ, and the more they refused to accept the condemnation for their past mistakes and for their present temptation, the more they became set free from the very addictions that bound them!
Beloved, God does not want you to sin because sin will destroy you. But even if you have failed, you must know this: There is no condemnation because you are IN CHRIST JESUS and your sins are washed away by His blood! When God looks at you, He does not see you in your failures. From the moment you accepted Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, God sees you in the risen Christ, seated at His right hand! As Jesus is spotless and without blame, so are you! God sent His Son to die on the cross for you while you were still a sinner. Obviously, He does not love you only when you are perfect in your behavior and thoughts. Receive afresh His unconditional love and His gift of righteousness today and break free from every sin and addiction in your life!

The Lord Our Righteousness

“…I will gather the remnant of My flock out of all countries…and bring them back to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase. I will set up shepherds over them who will feed them; and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, nor shall they be lacking,” says the Lord. “Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord, “…a King shall reign and prosper, and execute judgment and righteousness in the earth…now this is His name by which He will be called: THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.”
Jeremiah 23:3–6

There’s almost nothing more tender than the picture of a shepherd lovingly caring for his sheep.
Jeremiah 23:3–4 demonstrates a good shepherd’s heart—to gather, protect and feed his sheep so that they will “be fruitful and increase”. Jesus, our good shepherd, does all this through shepherds (pastors and teachers) He appoints over His people. Their role in representing Him is not to beat (shame) or fleece (financially exploit) the sheep, but to feed them such that they “shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, nor shall they be lacking”.
Now, what is this “food” that brings the sheep to the place of no fear, no discouragement and no lack? It is “the Lord our Righteousness”. Beloved, the more you feed on teaching that reveals Jesus and the gift of His righteousness through faith in His finished work, the more you’ll experience freedom from fear, depression and lack. So pursue ministries that carry Jesus’ heart for His sheep, that boldly proclaim the Lord our Righteousness and that reveal His abundance of grace—and experience His fruitfulness and increase!

Jesus Give You Rest

…Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.”
Matthew 11:28, NLT

You don’t need to be a Bible scholar or theologian to understand rest. You just need to be someone who knows Jesus, because it is Jesus who gives you rest!
My friend, perhaps you’re dealing with a challenging physical condition in your body today. And if you are weary, confused and tired because of all your efforts to get healed, just go to Him right now and tell Him, “Jesus, I’m so tired and confused. I’m scared too. Please hold me in Your arms and give me rest.”
You don’t have to say anything if you don’t want to. You can just cry in His presence. Beloved, He already knows all that you are going through. And the One who bottles your tears will surely rest you and give you peace. He will lift you up and strengthen you until you are full of His shalom-peace—inside and out!

Practice The Presence Of Lord Jesus

For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; with favor You will surround him as with a shield.
Psalm 5:12

With the Lord’s presence and His unmerited favor covering you, there is no way you will not be a success in your career. When I started working in my early twenties, I kept on practicing the presence of Jesus and in a short time became the top salesperson in my company. I started as one of the lowest-paid employees in the company, but the Lord consistently promoted me, and gave me different income streams from within the same company until I became one of the highest-paid employees in that organization.
Please understand that I am not sharing this with you to put a feather in my cap. I know beyond the shadow of a doubt that all the successes that I had experienced in my professional career are a result of Jesus’ presence and unmerited favor in my life. I also shared with you about my professional career (before I entered full-time ministry) so that you will not walk away thinking that I have personally experienced good success from the Lord only because I am a pastor.
Beloved, whatever the vocation you are in, practice the presence of Jesus and depend on His unmerited favor. He will promote you and make you a success!

Grace Supplies

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
1 Corinthians 16:23

The Lord told me once, “Being under grace means being constantly under My supply. It means being conscious not of the need, demand or crisis, but of My supply to you.”

My friend, the essence of grace is supply. See yourself under His grace by seeing yourself under the waterfall of His supply. Do you need healing for your body today?
See the afflicted area surrounded by Jesus’ healing power and resurrection life! Do you need wisdom, favor or a specific provision? See His supply of all that you need flowing into every area of lack right now.

Beloved, because of the cross of Jesus, God’s grace is always supplying healing, protection, wisdom and provision to you. And the more you are conscious of it, the more you will walk in it!

Don't Let Your Heart Be Troubled

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
John 14:27

You have probably read health articles that say that the cause of many medical conditions today is stress. Stress can produce all kinds of imbalances in your body. It can cause you to age prematurely, give you rashes, cause gastric pains and even hinder fertility. To put it succinctly, stress kills!
Beloved, stress is not from God. Peace is! Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid”. Notice Jesus’ second statement. He says that if you want to walk in His peace, then don’t allow your heart to be troubled or afraid.
Now, you do this by not feeding on negative reports that trouble or put fear in your heart. If your doctor has given you a negative report, don’t keep thinking about it. Meditate on the fact that by Jesus’ stripes you are healed. If the news on television is making you worried about the economy and your job security, don’t keep watching it. Meditate on the fact the God supplies all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Beloved, let not your heart be troubled. Rather, let it be strengthened and established in the love and wonderful promises of God for you!

Experience Jesus Peace

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6–7
Experience Jesus’ Robust Peace

Peace is not the absence of trouble in your life. It is possible to be in the midst of the biggest crisis in your life and still experience peace. That’s the true kind of peace that Jesus gives—peace that surpasses all understanding. Naturally speaking, it does not make sense for you to feel completely at rest and at peace in the middle of a clearly stressful situation, but supernaturally, you can be filled with His peace!
The world defines peace based on what is happening in the sensory realm. Its notion of peace would look something like this: A man lying in a hammock on a white sandy beach with waves rolling languidly along the shoreline. It calls that peace—until reality kicks in!
Beloved, you cannot use your external surroundings to permanently influence the turmoil that you are feeling inside. Only Jesus can touch what you are feeling inside and turn that turmoil into His peace. It’s not the other way round. With Jesus, transformation is always from inside out and not outside in. So when you turn your cares into prayers and seek His presence and favor, He puts a peace and rest in your heart that is robust and secure. You will find yourself able to face any challenge without worry or stress, regardless of your circumstances and environment!

Righteousness From God

not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith.
Philippians 3:9
God’s Favor Comes Through Faith Righteousness

I believe that the more righteousness-conscious you are, the more you will experience God’s unmerited favor. When the voice of disqualification comes to remind you of all the areas that you have fallen short in, that’s the time to turn to Jesus who qualifies you and hear His voice.
This is the true fight of faith! The fight of faith is to fight to believe that you are made righteous by faith and not by works. What do you want to depend on when push comes to shove—your wavering righteousness based on works, or the perfect, rock-solid righteousness of Jesus based on faith? It is your faith in the righteousness of Jesus that gives you the right to God’s unmerited favor.
Today, because of what Jesus did on the cross, you can expect good things to happen to you. You can ask God for big things and reach out to the blessed destiny that He has for you and your family. His righteousness is your right to God’s unmerited favor. Don’t let any voice of accusation tell you otherwise!

I Have More Than Enough

“My brother, I have plenty,” Esau answered. “Keep what you have for yourself.” But Jacob insisted, “No, if I have found favor with you, please accept this gift from me…for God has been very gracious to me. I have more than enough.”
Genesis 33:9–11, NLT
Grace Flows When You Stop Struggling

Most people would have given up on Jacob, the scheming deceiver and manipulator. But not God.
One night, while attempting to appease the brother he had stolen from, Jacob met the Lord. He grabbed hold of the Lord and for hours, tried to wrestle a blessing from Him. What did the Lord do? He touched Jacob’s hip socket and put it out of joint, so that Jacob wound up helpless before the Lord.
The Lord changed Jacob that night. He showed Jacob how it was only when Jacob’s grabbing and wrestling finally stopped that His grace was able to flow. That night, God changed Jacob’s name from “deceiver” to “prince” (Israel), and added to him blessings that were beyond his own efforts.
You see, we cannot try to wrestle blessings from God. It is when we give up on our scheming, deceiving and manipulating to get ahead in life, and completely trust His grace alone that His provision flows unabated.

Jesus Was Judged For Your Sin

Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.
1 Peter 2:24

To see God’s grace toward us when we are sick is to see what Jesus did for us at the cross. Just as it was important for the Israelites to eat the lamb roasted on that first Passover night before they walked free the next day, God wants you to see His provision for your healing—Jesus, the true Lamb of God—“roasted”. He wants you to see Jesus smitten by His judgment for your deliverance and redemption.
Beloved, see Jesus carrying your symptoms and diseases on His own body. See Him taking one lash after another until His back was shredded to ribbons. See Him falling again and again under the brutality of the scourging, only to rise again and again for more beating until ALL your diseases were healed! Receive your healing as you receive what His perfect finished work at the cross has accomplished for you!

Your Part Is To Believe

Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through this Man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins; and by Him everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.
Acts 13:38–39

If there’s a part for you to play in the new covenant of grace it is simply this: to believe. So what does God want you to believe? He wants you to believe in Jesus and His finished work, that you are completely forgiven of all your sins and that Jesus’ blood cleanses you from all your unrighteousness and lawlessness. And because of Jesus’ atoning sacrifice, God wants you to believe with all your heart that He meant every word when He said, “…I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more” (Hebrews8:12).
In God’s eyes today, you are made perfectly righteous by Jesus’ finished work. The new covenant’s emphasis is to believe that you are forgiven of every sin and that God has erased them from His memory. If you don’t believe this, it will be impossible for you to depend on and expect God to protect, provide for and bless you. If you don’t believe this, it will rob you of the ability to receive His goodness, blessings, unmerited favor and success in your life. So believe. Only believe!

Put The Spotlight On Jesus’ Finished Work

casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.
2 Corinthians 10:5

The devil is not called the “accuser of our brethren” for nothing (Revelation 12:10). When you’ve done wrong, he will remind you of it day and night. Even when you’ve done right, he will tell you that it wasn’t good enough.
The enemy just loves to bring up your failures, to put a spotlight on how your behavior has disqualified you from God’s acceptance, love and blessings. He loves to heap condemnation upon you and give you a sense of guilt and distance from God. He knows that the more condemnation and guilt you experience, the more likely you are to feel alienated from God and to live life defeated.
Beloved, the only way out of this vicious circle of defeat is to put the spotlight on the finished work of Jesus. Bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ at the cross. Through His perfect obedience and death at the cross, He has taken away your condemnation and qualified you to receive God’s acceptance, love and blessings
forevermore!
